HYDERABAD: Around 55,000 seats would be on offer at the ICET counselling beginning on Wednesday.
The counselling was inaugurated by Minister for Technical Education R. Chenga Reddy at 11 a.m. at the PGRR Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University.
ICET-2008 Convener D.N. Reddy said that only 300 candidates have been called on the first day and the first phase would be completed by July 20.
Last year, 17,000 MBA seats were available in 381 colleges and 26,000 MCA seats in 521 colleges. This year 29 new MCA colleges and 13 new MBA colleges got permission to offer the course.
